We built HUM for the professional drivers who do all the work and keep too little of it. Here's why.
The problem we kept seeing
Professional drivers do all the work, the driving, the risk, the hours, the wear on their cars, and hand nearly half of every fare to an app that does none of it. Riders, meanwhile, never know who's showing up or what they'll pay. The people actually in the car are getting the worst deal.
Drivers have always known there's a better way: private clients, direct relationships. But doing it off-app meant driving uninsured and, in many places, against local rules, one accident away from losing everything. The choice was a bad deal or a big risk.
What HUM is
HUM is a registered Transportation Network Company that gives professional drivers the insurance, compliance, and tools to offer private rides legally, set their own rates, and keep every dollar they charge. No commissions. A flat monthly subscription, and the business is yours.
For riders, it's simpler: a professional, background-checked driver you can actually keep. The same drivers, consistent pricing, no surge.
How we're different
We don't make money when you complete a ride. We make money from a flat subscription, so our incentive is your success, not your fare. You set your own rates, choose your own clients, and build a book of business that belongs to you, not us. Every trip is insured under HUM's commercial TNC policy.

When HUM is active in a state, it's active statewide, every city and town, not just the big metros.
